At one point in time, we lived in Southern California with all it’s beautiful sun and some how never managed to visit Redondo Beach until after we moved away. My family decided to take a day trip during our visit. I took this photo just as the sun was setting over the ocean.

The first time I visited Gettysburg, I was in junior high school. Returning as an adult is just such a different experience. We took a photo of this road in one of the memorial parks. Just makes you want to stop and take all the history in when you’re walking down a quiet path.

Photo of the Day: Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame

One of my favorite southern cities during my road trip was Nashville, TN. We really enjoyed the environment there and I learned that I do enjoy country music and a good line dance. While we were there, we visited the Country Music Hall of Fame. The wall of records is quite impressive.

During our travels, we decided to drop by Deadwood because at the time the HBO hit series was very popular. We wanted to see that piece of “history”. Upon arriving there, we realized it’s really not dead at all. Very busy with tourist who, I’m sure, were there for the same reason we were.

We traveled to Australia during Christmas season. It was a bit unusual to see Christmas decorations during summer – if you didn’t know, Australia’s weather is the opposite of North America.
